Privacy policy
Effective November 8, 2026
The short version: Meds Taken doesn’t collect, store or share your personal information. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone.
This policy explains what the Meds Taken iPhone app does with the information you put into it. Meds Taken is made by Let Your Nerd Be Heard (“we”).
What Meds Taken keeps on your iPhone
To do its job, the app saves the following on your iPhone only:
- Your medicine times: their names, times, the days they repeat on, and any notes about what to take.
- When each time was marked taken (your history).
- If you track more than one person, each person’s name and color.
- Your settings, such as reminders, Remind Again and Reminder Style.
This information never leaves your iPhone through Meds Taken. It isn’t sent to us or to anyone else. It’s included in your iPhone’s own backups (iCloud or your computer) if you have backups turned on, and it’s deleted when you delete the app.
What we don’t do
- We don’t have accounts, sign-ups or servers for Meds Taken.
- We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind.
- We don’t include third-party code that collects data.
- We don’t sell, rent or share your information, because we never receive it.
Reminders and alarms
Reminders and alarms are scheduled by iOS on your iPhone. Meds Taken asks for permission before using notifications, and asks separately before using alarms on iOS 26 and later. You can turn either off at any time in the app’s Settings tab or in iOS Settings.
Reminders show the name of the medicine time and, if you added one, your note about what to take. Depending on your iOS settings, these can appear on your Lock Screen. To hide notification details on the Lock Screen, go to iOS Settings, then Notifications, then Show Previews.
The beta through TestFlight
If you test Meds Taken through Apple’s TestFlight app, Apple may share information with us as part of TestFlight, such as crash reports, basic device and usage information, and any feedback or screenshots you choose to send. This is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy and TestFlight’s terms. We use it only to fix problems and improve the app.
Children
Parents and caregivers can use Meds Taken to keep track of a child’s medicine. Because the app doesn’t collect information from anyone, it doesn’t collect information from children.
Not medical advice
Meds Taken helps you keep track of whether you’ve taken your medicine. It doesn’t give medical advice. Always follow the directions from your doctor or pharmacist.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the effective date at the top.
